2022年10月16日星期日，常州威雅在西太湖畔飛凡西海岸舉辦了首屆威雅家庭賽艇會?；顒赢斕欤Ｖ萃殴灿?5位學習賽艇的學生參加了活動，充分展示了他們在日積月累的訓練中習得的高超技藝與專業(yè)素養(yǎng)。許多家長也來到了現(xiàn)場觀摩這場激動人心的賽艇會。看著自己的孩子在西太湖水域上大放光彩，對到場的父母來說是一段非常難忘的經(jīng)歷，我們也很高興能與大家分享這一場盛會。

　On October 16th，2022，we held WAS Changzhou firs tever Family Rowing Regatta.25 rowing students took part in the event，showcasing their skilled abilities that have been developed throughout their time in our WASCZ Rowing programme. Parents were invited to observe our exciting Regatta. Watching their child out on the water was a very memorizing experience for parents and we are so glad that we were able to share tha with you.

　　隨著學生比賽的開始，賽艇會逐漸拉開了序幕。所有的參賽選手分坐于6艘賽艇上，兩兩進行pk，最終以600米的比拼一決勝負。

　　We kick started the event off with student competitions. All rowers competedin 6 boats，2 boats racing side by side in each event，and battling out in a 600metre distanced race.

　　Girls Category

　　女子組率先開場。王同學(十一年級，Austen學院)、王同學(十一年級，Somerville學院)、沙同學(十年級，Austen學院)和夏同學(十一年級，Cavell學院)對戰(zhàn)崔同學(十年級，Austen學院)、陳同學(十一年級，Cavell學院)、楊同學(九年級，Cavell學院)和賓同學(十一年級，F(xiàn)onteyn學院)，她們表現(xiàn)出色，為之后的比賽開了個好頭。

　　Our opening race was the girlscategory. Q. Wang，A. Wang，Z. Sha，A. XiaversusC. Cui，A. Chen，A. YangandJ. Bin，they were all outstanding and set a great pace for the following rowers.

　　Intermediate Category

　　第二場比賽是男女混合中級賽，由七至十年級的賽艇初學者以及經(jīng)驗豐富的選手出戰(zhàn)。湯同學(九年級，Blake學院)、楊同學(九年級，Blake學院)、周同學(九年級，Hawking學院）和王同學(九年級，Hawking學院)對戰(zhàn)張同學(八年級，Turner學院)、凌同學(七年級，Elgar學院)、蔡同學(八年級，Blyton學院)和丁同學(八年級，Cavell學院)，他們使用的賽艇在體型和重量上都做了升級，賽艇的安全性也有所提升。

　　Our second race was our mixed intermediate category. This included grade 7 – 10，experienced and beginning rowers. A. Tang，J. Yang，L. Zhou，J. Wang Versus P. Zhang，B. Ling，M. Choi，L. Ding competed in the event utilising our larger boats that are heavier and safer to race on water. Ouri ntermediate rowers did afantastic job working together tocomplete the race successfully.

　　Boy Category

　　最后一組是男子組的比賽。劉同學(十年級，Turner學院)、史同學(十年級，Elgar學院)、吳同學(十年級，Blake學院)和王同學(九年級，Newton學院）對戰(zhàn)王同學(九年級，Blake學院)、王同學(十年級，Scott學院)、Akordor同學(九年級，Hawking學院)和蔣同學(十年級，Blake學院)，他們憑借訓練有素的技能與強大的實力折服了在場所有人，比賽至此落下帷幕。

　　Our final race of the day was our boys competition. S. Liu，S. Shi，R. Wu，L. Wangversus X. Clarke，F(xiàn). Wang，J. Akordor，J. Jiang concluded the event with a strong and swift finish.

　　最快的一隊以2分52秒的成績抵達終點，這極大的激勵了我們的學生，要以更斗志昂揚的精神狀態(tài)面對即將迎戰(zhàn)的比賽。同時，教練們可以在接下來的大型賽艇比賽之前，依據(jù)今次的表現(xiàn)，為學生們提前做一次技巧與狀態(tài)的評估以作參考。

　　The fastest crew completed the race in 2 minutes and 52 seconds. This is a great start for our students，and with their determination they will only continue toim prove.Our rowing regatta was a great opportunity for our coaches to assess the students in prevision of our next big rowing regatta taking place in the coming months.

　　賽艇運動員們在水上的出色表現(xiàn)讓我們感到無比自豪。對于我們的許多賽艇運動員來說，這是他們第一次有機會向父母展示他們的賽艇技能，同時也能嘗試一下賽艇比賽帶來的樂趣。

　　We are incredibly proud of all our  rowers for their fantastic efforts out of the water. For many of our rowers this is thefirst opportunity they have had to be able have to show their parents their rowing abilities，as well as getting a small taste of arowing competition.

　　這個下午精彩的不僅僅只有賽艇，學生和家長們可以嘗試劃皮劃艇或乘坐游艇，泛“舟”湖上，也可以參與室內(nèi)劃船器比賽，感受速度與激情。夕陽西下，當激烈的運動比拼漸歇，學生、老師、家長們伴著美麗的夕陽團團圍坐，以一頓美味的燒烤為這場特別的活動畫上了完美的句點。感謝所有到場參與的朋友。

　　The afternoon continued with boat and yacht rides，kayak adventures，an erg competition between students and parents and then finished with a delicious barbeque while watching the sun set. Thank you to all parents who joined us for a very special event.

　　自常州威雅創(chuàng)校以來，賽艇已然成為我們不可或缺的一項運動基因。今年，我們將致力于為學生們提供更多下水實操的機會。為了能挑戰(zhàn)自我，實現(xiàn)“更高”、“更快”、“更強”的目標，我們的賽艇運動員們不辭辛苦，披星戴月，每周參與三次晨練晚訓，以及周末訓練。

　　Since the opening of WAS Changzhou，rowing has been a valuable part of our sport DNA.This year we are looking to strengthen our team with offering more water time，on top of rowing classes available during the week. Rowers now take part in three early morning training sweekly，as well as evening and weekend trainings.

　　感謝一直與運動員們并肩作戰(zhàn)的賽艇教練MrPFrieh和MissBZhang。正因為他們的努力付出、堅強意志，與拼搏精神，才有如今我們賽艇運動員們熠熠生輝的成績。

　　We want to thank our amazing rowing coaches，Miss B Zhang and Mr P Frieh，who have been working relentlessly with all our rowers.Their continuous hard work，determination and strive they have for the students development is very valuable for our rowers progress.
